THE PROCESS

Colorant slip dress is first dyed with Mimosa then hand-painted with original print by Lara using textile ink formulated for silk.

MIMOSA a tree from Brazil that yields browns, purples and oranges. It has been used for centuries to treat skin ailments and used in the cosmetic and beauty industry for it's anti-aging properties.

Lara Hodulick is an American born painter and creative living in Brooklyn, NY.
She hand-paints textiles influenced by emotions, expressions, and modernism.
